About Free Text Refiner

Free Text Refiner started from a simple frustration: text copied from a PDF, a ChatGPT reply, a scanned document, or a spreadsheet almost never comes out clean. It's full of broken line breaks, doubled-up spaces, curly quotes, stray markdown symbols, and invisible Unicode characters that quietly break formatting downstream. Fixing it by hand, one regular expression at a time, gets old fast.

What we build

We build small, single-purpose text tools instead of one bloated app. Each tool on this site — from the Clean ChatGPT Text preset to the Whitespace Normalizer, the JSON Formatter, and the OCR Text Cleaner — does exactly one job well, so you can find the fix you need and see the result instantly, without digging through menus or settings.

Privacy by design

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload step, no account, and no server that ever sees the text you paste. We built it this way on purpose: text cleanup is often something people do with sensitive material — contracts, medical notes, source code, unpublished drafts — and that content should never have to leave your device to get cleaned up.

Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up wall, no usage limits, and no premium tier hiding the features that actually matter. We keep the site running through unobtrusive advertising rather than subscriptions, so anyone can use it whenever they need it.
